Arctic HareAs you look across a frozen lake you see a glorious arctic hare run across it, it looks back once, and you just stare at each other for a while. Now think of the ice suddenly breaking below the hare, the hare drowns, how would you feel. Pretty bad, or at least I would. Now I will tell you about this superb hare.
The arctic hare can mostly be found in the tundra of Canada, but can also be found on Arctic Island and Greenland. They really like berries, buds, willow twigs and roots, but also eat woody plants, mosses, lichens, seaweed, bark, and leaves. They have short, thick, yet warm under fur and above that they have nice silky fur. They can survive for 15 days in extremely low temperatures if they have 20% body fat. |
